Well, scratch XBLite then. I see that XBasic is now on sourceforge.net
but apparently the project has stagnated for a couple of years...which
is too bad. I haven't used it myself, but it looks really good.

Have you tried Rapid-Q?

And there are perhaps other possibilities, too. RealBasic is commercial
and supports Windows and Macintosh, but they are adding Linux support
(probably a separate product I think).

I've been experimenting with a Linux prog called "qb2c" but just noticed
that I will not be able to use graphics (Screen 13) in Linux, which then
means scarp "qb2c". =P

I didn't realize that Rapid-Q itself is about four years old (as I've
never used it either). It looks good, but it is fairly old already.

I did find one more link that I find to be pretty interesting. It is
about WxBasic, hosted on Sourceforge, for Linux and Windows. It's
not-quite-ready-for-primetime but it looks very promising (and it's
current! imagine that!):
